1. It’s Running More Than Usual

One of the more common issues you’ll notice with a toilet that needs to be replaced is that it’s constantly running. This is a sign that the interior part of the toilet is damaged. Things to be wary of are running toilets, tank leakage, and pipe leakage. 

2. It Gets Clogged a Lot

Though all toilets get clogged from time to time, if you think it’s getting clogged more than normal you may want to consider a new one. Of course, if you think it’s something that could be fixed by calling a plumber that should be your first stop. 

3. There’s a Crack

Cracks in a toilet bowl are no bueno. If you notice a leak around the rim of the bowl or a crack in the tank, now would be the time to find a replacement. Even if there are no leaks and the toilet is functioning properly, cracks can lead to further damage down the road. And trust us, you don’t want that. 

4. The Water Bill Is Unusually High

Have you noticed that your water bill is higher than normal? This could have something to do with your toilet. Old toilets tend to work harder which in return causes them to use more water. If you have an old toilet, it may be time to replace it.
